when i was a teen my brothers would take me to pizza buffets as a treat and where i lived there were dozens of different kinds.. now as i age i have seen them slowly disappear.. pizza hut used to have one but most of theirs are gone.. i cant remember the ones i used to go to (it has been like 15 years lol) and other than cici's pizza i dont know of ONE pizza buffet place in this city!
are like food codes or prices making them be a thing of the past now?? i really liked going to them and cici's tends to make me sick.. cry where did all the pizza buffets go?!?!

I've actually only been to one pizza buffet: Cici's. And I wasn't that thrilled with their choices. The only thing I honestly LOVED about Cici's were the sugar buns. I never even knew Pizza Hut had a buffet! LOL There's a Chinese buffet I used to love going to, but that was back in Baltimore and that's definitely one trip I won't make just to stuff myself with Chinese food (which I love). There is a Chinese buffet closer to our new home but I haven't tried it yet. I think maybe that buffets are becoming a thing of the past because of the economy. Personally, I could never eat enough food to justify the cost, anyway, but I've known plenty of people who could! I have recently seen advertisements for Pizza Hut and Papa John's where you buy one pizza and get another one for 25 cents (Papa Johns) or buy one get one for 1 cent (Pizza Hut). Apparently, they are competing hard for customers. I used to love Papa John's pizzas because they put so much extra sauce on their pizzas but in the past year or so they've begun putting less and less on their pizzas. I know it's the economy doing this. Hey! Start making your own pizzas and delivering them! That's how Papa John got started... right in his own kitchen! Under-price them by $1.00 or $2.00 per pizza... I bet you'd make a fortune! LOL [mentalward]

I used to love going to Pizza Hut buffets there are none left in my area now and I really miss them. Its a pity they are gone and if I had the money I would love to start up my own. [sammyspam]

I really don't know where they went,but I could never go to Pizza Hut to theirs anyway. That pizza use to be so greasy you could just pick it up amd let the grease run off. My favorite pizza is Dominoes or DiCarlo's back home in West Virginia. My favorite pizza that Dominoes has is the Philly Steak,,,OMG it is so good. If you have never tried it you gotta and see just how good it is. As far as buffets, I think our Pizza Hut still has theirs here on Tuesday nights and they also do alot of them for charity reasons if someone needs to raise money for a terminally ill person or for someones hospital bills. This I think is very nice of them and I guess I could choke down a little grease for a buffet like this.. [OLIJULSAR]

Alot of the buffet places (not just pizza) in my area seem to be gone - there used to be bonanza and pizza hut had buffet's for noon hour during the week. Now Bonanaza is gone and I havent seen pizza hut buffets advertised or mentioned in their menu in AGES. I love the buffets - im not stuck with what gets put on my plate that way. [saundyl]

You know before I started seeing the tv ads for CiCi's pizza buffets I had never heard of one. There have been several other buffet chains that have come and gone through the area, but none that have specialized in pizza. It could be because I live in Chicago and I think pizza is taken a little more seriously and someplace that just set out a bunch of pizzas at the same time to sit and be eaten whenever might not go over too well. I don't know of many pizza buffets near me. I wish we had a Cici's close though. I love them but then closest one to me is 40 minutes away [scgodess]

You are right. Must pizza huts have stopped the buffet thingy however i am soo lucky because the one near my house still holds on pizza buffet. I went twice and there was alot of people. However, I am trying to not go there to often since I want better curves for this summer :P But it's really a treat...like once a month or every 2 months. [ladysakurax]

You can go to Godfather's or Pizza Hut and get the buffet. We also have Pizza Ranch around here and Happy Joe's Pizza. [Ruthep]

i have not tried eating in buffet. cause i don't eat often in pizza house cause they are not cheap place to eat at. but i wanted to try to eat there sometimes when i have the time to eat outside and when i have the money though. i think that it will be great to eat buffet. but what do they served in a buffet. i have not heard that we have a pizza hut buffer here in my country in the philippines. maybe it is not for all countries. so basically you mean we can eat all that we can eat that is served on the table. do you get to choose your own topics and they will just cook it after they have chosen the toppings. or is it cooked already then you just have to add more toppings if you would like to. anyways, i think that eating in a buffet. but maybe they are just serving those toppings that are not expensive and does not taste great or not much people like them that is why they are offered in buffet. and for those toppings that we would like to eat more they will not be included in those toppings on the table. My husband told me about Ci Ci's (I think that's what the place is called) and I don't think we have the place up here. I still see them advertized on american TV, but don't know if they're advertizing a buffet or not. I went to the Pizza hut one years ago and loved it. Good question. Where did they all go? yeah there is still cici's but their quality isnt as good and i swear it ALWAYS makes me sick! but i do like that you can request a certain type of pizza for the buffett and them make it [moonlitmagikchild]
