I do very well. I had just married at 16 doh& we went to chicago to visit my in-laws. I don't guess they had pizza in Tennessee back then, i sure had never heard of it. My bil& sil oredered one while we were at their house & i absolutely thought it was the best thing i had ever eaten, I still love them to this day. Wish they weren't so stinking expensive. My sister and brother in law also introduced me to pizza. They were nine years older than me, and married. I must have been twelve. Until after I was married myself pizza remained a rare treat. We make it now, frozen ones or homemade ones really frequently. Hardly a week goes by with out pizza. I remember my first Sicilian style, it was a deep dish with fresh mushrooms. I was on a blind date. Pizza was the food of choice when we went out together as teens in groups, but we usually only got a couple of pieces each. Now I tend to pig out on it, and go to a buffet. When pizza hut came to town, it did a brisk business as they had a long line of customers waiting to taste the latest food in town. Being asian, pizza is an alien food to many people including myself. That was 15 years ago that I had my first taste of pizza. On my first bite I knew I was going to like pizza and up till now I still consider pizza as a meal by itself and when ever I am too lazy to cook I just have to call pizzahut and within half and hour it is delivered to my doorstep. Hi aunty, I actually don't as didn't use to touch cheese at all. I remember well having the first pizza which changed my mind when I had a calzonne pizza in Malta when we'd arrived so late there was little left to choose from. It was wonderful and the best pizza I've ever eaten to this day, but it's very close to Italy so was probably really authentic. We so have an excellent pizza taverna here but I an never eat more than two slices. [thea09]

Mmmmm...Reading all these replies is making me hungry! I'm not sure if there is a cultural difference here or not, but I can't remember my first time having pizza but it must have been when I was very young. My first memory of pizza probably came around the age of five while at a birthday party at Showbiz (anybody from the midwest remember Showbiz?). I've been hooked ever since. i don't remember, maybe when i was about 1 or 2 years old, i'm italian so it's difficult to don't eat pizza, i feel like if there's no a first time, but i eat pizza from the first day i was born. it's normal, like to drink a cup of water. I eat pizza about once per week, in restourants, in a bar or in some shops that sell it in pieces. The best italian pizza is not from the south, but the north, naple's pizza it's too oiled, too wet, i don't like it. [codris]

hi Antiquelady, I dont remember my first pizza but remember a very good one though. I had visited my aunt and cousins to also stay there overnight when my uncle was on a business trip. My aunt suggested we get some takeaway pizza and did that. The pizza place was close to their home and so we came home with these lovely cartons of hot steaming pizza and as they lived on the 11 th floor we used the elevator. Guess the next people after us using that elevator got hungry very soon from that waves of pizza smells. lol [book1962]

I don't remember exactly when it was the first time I ate pizza. I know as a family we would go during the summer time once a week to a pizza restaurant for dinner, the whole gang there was 7 of us. However I would not really like the pizza because of the cheese.lol I know whats pizza without cheese. Anyway it wasn't till I was pregnant with my first child that I ended with a craving for pizza. I was having 2 slices every other day. They knew my order as soon as I walked into the restaurant. I couldn't believe how much I wanted pizza. No, I really don't. We grew up on them. We had homemade pizza every Saturday night when we visited my grandparents. And we ordered them quite frequently. My parents first had them as teenagers and my mom said they couldn't understand why anyone would want to eat a "tomato pie". That was until she had one, of course. My dad tells the story of being in the navy on leave in Boston and seeing someone toss and twirl the pizza dough in a restaurant window. He had never seen anything like that before! We have kind of a "pizza war" going on in our town right now. All the pizza places have a bargain $5 pizza of some sort. That's without delivery of course. Pretty good deal though. [rocketj1]

However, I know how unhealthy most pizza's are so as much as possible I prefer eating a vegetarian pizza although I don't claim it to be 100 percent cholesterol and fat free because the cheese is still in it, at least I know it is safer than the ordinary ones. Hiya Antiquelady...I can't remember my very first pizza being my grandma always made them from scratch for as long as I could possibly remember. I'm thinking it was when I was 2 or 3yrs. old or maybe younger. All I know is I sure do miss them. She made the crust 2 in. thick and super soft, loaded with home made sauce, diced tomatoes, onions, and mozzarella cheese. No I really do not remember when I first had a pizza. It wasn't there whilst I was growing up in the U.K. I honestly have no idea. But I had a wonderful pizza yesterday. I was in our city for the weekend attending a conference and coming back yesterday I need to use a restroom and where I stopped I could smell pizza's. When we were kids my grandma used to make the frozen pizza. If you ever had one of them you would know thats not real pizza. It only gives a hint of a real pizza. I love them too. I cant remember my first time eating a real pizza. I believe a boy friend when i was like 16yr. I make my own pizza now. I have heartburn from the tomato sauce they use. Some places act like they have never heard of pizza with out the tomato sauce. There are a few that that make it your way. But you are right about the price. Thats one of the reasons i started making my own. I can put anything i like on it. Instead of tomato sauce you can use alfredo sauce or ranch dressing. [jdyrj777]

Hi Jo! I can't say I remember eating my first pizza but I do remember eating my first BBQ pizza and I fell head over heals in love with it! At first, my friends were eating it and I thought they were crazy till I had a taste of it and found it to taste right yummy! It was with Pizza Hut but on a promotion thing so now they don't have it anymore but this other pizza place does which is CiCi's Pizza. One time, my father went home with a box of pizza which he bought to surprise us. It was one of the best tasting pizza I have ever eaten. That is perhaps the reason why I always crave for pizza considering that when I was young, we could barely afford it.happy [jpso138]

Hello friend. I remember the first time I had my first pizza with my American colleague in our local Champion Pizza shop a few years ago. It was very expensive though it tasted good, but ever since my colleague left, I have never been to a pizza shop for even once. It is not because I don't like it, but because it went out of business without having enough customers to support it due to its high price. [williamjisir]

yes, i remember the first time ate pizza was treat by my aunt a few years ago,my brother and i visit to my aunt,as my brother-in-law want to eating pizza instead of lunch,meanwhile my aunt was lazy to cook,so we are went to the shop to ate pizza,it is too expensive even though it tasted very delious,good luck and have a nice day! i donot remember clearly when i ate the pizza but it was after marraige at 21,as my parents never bought me a pizza but it surely is delicious ,but i can have only 2-3slices at a time. [riyasam]
