hi, interesting discussion,...but to be honestly truthful i think eating pizza with a knife and fork spoils it's taste...it's like eating a hamburger with a knife and fork...it's just wrong. i love to eat pizza and there is nothing better than picking it up with your own fingures and eating it that way!!!! I just pick it up and eat it, unless the pizza is so packed with toppings that they're sliding off everytime I pick it up, then I'll eat it with a fork. To me, pizza is finger food thus you eat it with your hands. :) [joanana]

Actually, i have never seen who eat pizza by fork and knife in USA because here we always pick it ip and take a byte so it will be faster. If we eat by fork and knife , i think there are no slides left for me becuase i eat too slow. [becuttieusa]
I use a fork and knife if I have company or if I am out in a place where it would be expected. At home or when acceptable, unless it is really messy stuff, I 'd rather eat it with my hands. [seamonkey]

pizza is a finger food . . . it is proper to eat this food by hand. there are just pizzas this time which are bulk in contents already & in much bigger sizes that we need to eat them with fork & knife already . [mwenceslao]
If the slice only has cheese and 1 topping, I eat it with my hands. If I have something like chicken marsala pizza, or caesar salad pizza, then I use a knife and a fork. [quispy]
Depends on the circumference I am at that time. Like if I am around four peoples than I would like to eat pizza neatly with a fork and knife but when I found myself alone with a pizza I don't use any utensils and will eat the whole pizza by my bare hand. Actually I feel better when I eat pizza with my barer hands and it give me genuine taste. I think most of us like to eat pizza in the same way I do. I can never imagine me eating a pizza with a fork. For me pizza is junk food and no etiquette needs to be followed to fingers and hands allowed. I love eating pizza and can eat a whole 10" one if allowed. However, im on a diet so 2 pieces is all i allow myself. cant stop my self from eating pizza either. [melody1011]

We have always eaten pizza with out hands. Never in my life have I thought of eating it with a knife and fork. We had some European family come stay with us and they were amazed at how many things we acutally ate with our hands, like sandwiches, burgers, chicken. [AskAlly]

Normally, I eat PIZZA with no knife or fork. It's enjoyable eating it that way. But, when I know, I didn't wash my hands, I go with the knife or fork. It's safer that way. I just love pizza, it is just too damn expensive here in our place. [erikssion]

Me too I usually use fork and knife, I like putting a lot of olive oil on my pizza and I can't stand greasing my fingers, but I have to admit that pizza is pizza, and so, if I should be forced to eat without fork and knife....
