Well, I've been feeling bad all day, actually yesterday too, so today, the roomie proposed we get a pizza at Cici's.
I chose instead to go there. I had 5 pieces and a salad. It wasn't great, but it was nice for a change.
Part of going there means no left overs, and no temptation.
Still, it was nice for a change.
How long have you ever gone without pizza? Was it as good as you remember it when you hadn't had it for a long time?

responses and comments:
I'm sorry to say, CICI's is gross you should stay away from that place. They reuse what ever they can for there buffet. I can not go too long with out pizza. I have a pizza joint near my house that make the best tomato type pie. They put a little cheese onto the dough in different spots and then fill in with the sauce, it's ridiculous how good there pizza is. [mickeydurkin]
That is my favorite there. I like Pizza Hut in my town, though. I also will make some homemade, but hubby does not like it that well. [GardenGerty]
Pizza is not my favorite food. I eat it, but I could live without it. If I never had it again that would be okay with me. Ice Cream is a different story. I usually don't eat it in the winter, but when it starts to get warm that is what I want. [cerebellum]
Fudge popsicles sound good. Sugar Free would make them even better! I'll have to get some the next time I go shopping. [cerebellum]
I like Cici's pizza. But then, I like every thing - well, almost everything. I rarely get to go out to eat. My husband prefers that I make it at home. I sometimes buy ready made pizza at the commissary and bake it at home. I have not told him that I could buy pizza dough (or make it from scratch) and add just the toppings that he likes. [bellis716]
I could eat out every day if I had my way... not a good way to stay on my diet! [ElicBxn]
We never go a whole week without some pizza or another. Hubby has an addiction. Hubby has a fat wife, too. I find that if I do buffets lately, I end up feeling gross. Sometimes CiCis is good, other times not, lately. I do like spinach pizzas with alfredo sauce. When I think of a fantasy pizza though, it will be thick crust and just swimming in cheese and everything else as well. I will dip it in marinara. [GardenGerty]
sure - you want to fight the cats for the shrimp? Ohhhh, there's a story to tell - do I put it in pizza or cats???rofl [ElicBxn]
The last time that we order an pizza was last July. I think it's about time, because we use to order a pizza once a month. But we couldn't do it for the last year. That was very sweet of your roommate. Take care Snow [snowqueen200802]
Thanks for responding back to me. Take care Snow [snowqueen200802]
Cici's is okay but is no where closes to my favorite pizza place. I like going to a home town place called Prontos! It has not only pizza but great Italian food! I usually do not go more then a week and I am either at Pizza Hut or at Prontos! Happy Mylotting! [13tyates]
Wow - Sounds like you have been able to find some nice places all around! I have to stick with this home town place being my favorite! It is amazing! Haha - I should probably not be eating pizza either like I had said! :P [13tyates]
hi ElicBxn oh how I long for a real pizza with lots of pepperoni and black olives and other goodies on it. we had a slice of supposed pepperoni pizza with two whole slices of pepperoni on it and lots of cheese and tomato sauce.it was okay but not what I call fantastic by any means. we did have ravioli that the cook himself made, not the chef boyardee crap they will usually serve, and this was really delicious so why not do that all the time and forget the chef boyardee crap as it tastes horrid. I hated that as a child and still hate it. I did not know the cook could make that, and sure hope he does it again. really so good and so different from the c anned stuff.feelingsickfeelingsickfeelingsick [Hatley]
sugar-free fudgesicles, pretty good, but I really like the fruit ones, and they are cheap! [ElicBxn]
Oh my goodness there is nothing like pizza to help a long day. I guess that it comes with so many different toppings and it taste great with anything. Its something when the sauce and cheese mix with eachother, and the pepperoni, or whatever your topping is. But one thing I have noticed was the amount of cheeses they use to serve on pizza, they cut it in half and where im from cici's pizza their buffet was only 3.99 now it went up to 5.99. Now when I eat Pizza It has to be Digorno, its just how their bread taste and whatever they put in their sauce. [walking2010]
I did notice that the spinach pizza (not tomato sauce) was less spinach and cheese than it was last year, still I didn't eat all the "bones" so while I was very bad - I could've been a LOT worse! [ElicBxn]
we are not pizza eaters here but we have pizza hut's and dominos here what is with a pizza is it more tempting than a cigarette or what i heard elvis presley died after eating a pizza poor lad ... [cobrayogesh]
did he? I thought he died after eating one of his famous peanut butter and bacon sandwiches... actually, I have no idea what he'd been eating, I wasn't really an Elvis fan, more of a Beatles fan... [ElicBxn]
We will have pizza once in a few months and it always taste good as i can remember it.I can eat the whole pizza by my own. that is why we only have it for our meals once in a few months.i think i will get bigger in size if i have it everyday!haha..:) [CTHanum]
I love pizza so much but as I can remember the last time I had pizza was last month. I have to watch my diet now. I'm already 7 months pregnant and will give birth this August. I have to avoid fast food for now so it means I also have to say good bye to pizza until I give birth. In fact I already told my husband to bring me a pizza in the hospital after my labor. hahaha! [Ladyslipper]
Wow ElicBxn, I don't think I could go wothout pizza that long, glad you enjoyed. The last time I had pizza was the day before yesterday but cooked at home. We have it at least once a week here as my son loves it too. Huggles. Ellie :D [ellie333]
i eat one pizza per week. i really enjoy pizza. it is great. my favorite food, be well and keep lotting.roflroflrofl [johnbrainless]
happyOkay, let's see…The last time I had pizza was…Two days ago! We have pizza quite often because my husband absolutely loves it! In fact before I met him I used to have pizza every few months but after we got together it became a regular meal, he is totally addicted to the stuff! I don't know Cici's because I live in Australia; we have Pizza Hut here but I prefer the traditional wood oven pizzas, yum! [paula27661]
I forgot when was the last time when I enjoyed a pizza. I think it was on January, so...it is a long time since then. noe, that you mention it, I feel like eating one. send it over to me. I think that I will order one this evening. good idea. it is nice for a change... [magdafloasiu]
i had a part of pizza it was good but i cant have more than 4 in a year cause i didnt like it that much [qamarep]
The last time I had Pizza was about 5 weeks ago I think but I am not overly keen on Pizza I have to be in the mood for it lol I am glad that it was nice and that you enjoyed it [gabs8513]
iT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I HAD A GOOD PIZZA & i love them. Been trtying to diet & am afraid pizza is not a diet food, lol. I remember the first one i ever had. I was in chicao in 1959 & my inlaws ordered one & i thought it was the best thing i HAD EVER eaten, Happy mon. to u. [ANTIQUELADY]
I am not a big fan of CiCi's Pizza at all, last time I ate there it made me sick. I try to go a long time without Pizza but it always happens, We find ourselves ordering a Pizza sometimes on the weekend. Well have a nice day!!happy [jahernandezrivas]
Months. Trying to get a low salt, not tomato sauce pizza isn't that easy. [writersedge]
yeah, that cheese is kindda salty... I prefer my pizza to be tomato sauce free... [ElicBxn]
I couldn't go that long without pizza! [K46620]
been awhile that we went out for pizza usually we get the froozen ones to cook t home and met and cheese to it too [Lakota12]

Oh, now I could murder a Schlotzkys!!! lol (We need a YUUUUMMM emoticon!) (Oh, Aaaaaliiiiice...! happy ) Maggiepie "...any nation - including Iran - should have the right to access peaceful nuclear power." ~ B.O. [Maggiepie]
now you have me craving for some pizza! come to think of it, i haven't had pizza for a while; a month i guess. i think i'd like pepperoni thin crust. [charylady]
I wish I could say that, but alas, I had "pizza" today...that is, it looked something like pizza, but as for taste & texture, some poor pig died in vain to make the little sausage pellets which were glued with a namby-pamby, ketchup-y "sauce" to the slightly undercooked bread ("crust" is NOT the proper term here). This was Pizza ala Meals On Wheels. Bleah...the worst thing about it? The fact that it was the best thing on the plate! w00t The entire thing--including some of the "pizza"--went into the garbage. In fairness, while no-one will ever accuse MOW of being staffed by gourmets, their meals aren't consistently bad...but I had hoped the broccoli wouldn't be even worse. It was nearly mush...sigh.... I couldn't quite identify the third portion...or maybe it was just so forgettable. All in all, a 3 euw rating. Maggiepie "...any nation - including Iran - should have the right to access peaceful nuclear power." ~ B.O. [Maggiepie]
I"m not really into pizza, but if I'm going to think of something equivalent to your story, I should use fries. I'm so addicted to them, but one day I just stopped. It was difficult but I managed to not have any in four months. [cannarypepper]
And you mean to tell me you didn't save me a piece of pizza????lol Just kidding. I can't even remember the last time I had pizza. Years and years ago, I actually used to make my own homemade pizza. But haven't even done that in ages. I suppose I could get frozen pizza but that never tastes quite the same as REAL pizza from a pizzeria type place. There's one store I often pass by...a real mom and pop store pizzeria (we don't have any chain types here)...I'm DYING to get a slice, but since I'm on benefits I have to really budget my money...it's like do I buy a slice of pizza or buy more cat food...uh, guess what wins out?rolleyes [pyewacket]
oh, yeah, I hear ya, but we had already bought the cat food, so we knew we could afford $10 for pizza. After drinking a couple of glasses of water and 5 pieces of pizza, I realized that I probably had both low blood sugar AND dehydration! [ElicBxn]
Mmmm...I eat at a CiCi's in Indiana once and it was a buffet type pizza place but you could still order stuff for them to put out. It was pretty good there. I really like pizza. I guess I have it around once or twice a month. I don't go very long without it. [JenInTN]
All I can say to that, Elic, is ya gets what ya pays for! CiCi's--ptui! Conan's? Pizza Heaven!!!rolleyeslolwink (Pizza Hut...one of the lesser circles of hell, I guess....) Maggiepie "...any nation - including Iran - should have the right to access peaceful nuclear power." ~ B.O. [Maggiepie]
6 months, & yes. EVERY bit as good--because it wasn't CiCis! lol Maggiepie "...any nation - including Iran - should have the right to access peaceful nuclear power." ~ B.O. [Maggiepie]
nope, so sorry [ElicBxn]
Hm, I don't know, I probably have pizza once a month or less. Nothing is as good as Palermo's mushroom and extra cheese pizza, but they're too dang far away from here, haven't had any in 10 years or so... [dawnald]
last time I got a really good pizza was in NJ in 07 [ElicBxn]
I've read the comments and wondered how Cici's could be so cheap. In L.A., they're still $4.99 for all-you-can-eat but my cousin in TX said they were just OK. Me being the amateur foodie that I am, I just decided to leave it alone since people do funny things to food sometimes anyway. I like veggie pizza too and have been wanting to experiment with things like pesto, spinach, roasted garlic or maybe a Portobello calzone. I also like a thin crust. If there's a Target near you, I'd try the fresh (not Pizza Hut stands) pizza in the produce section. They have a cracker-like crust and full of flavor. [jswindell10]
I've never had much luck shopping for food at Targets, in fact, I don't much shop at Target. Cici's isn't a GREAT pizza, but its not a bad pizza, and they are cheap - so you get what you pay for... [ElicBxn]
me?um..maybe a month.i love pizza i try to get it at least once a month. my bro used to work as delivery and we'd get the flubs and cancels. [scarlet_woman]
I had a coworker who's nephew was living with her and working taking orders, and he'd bring a few home too later another one worked at a chicken place and he would bring home the stuff that didn't sell before they closed... [ElicBxn]
Well i never been waiting for a long time, weekly either order or make it. Its usual one for my evening snacks. [besthope44]
would be different if I weren't fat when I was younger I didn't eat as much and I was more active [ElicBxn]
