I'm working at an netcafe, for some time now, and I got a little bit more fat than I wish, and I'm tring to quit all the junk food, but don't know really what to eat at work.
I mean HOW can you not eat this stuff.. they are REALLY REALLY good!
ahm and to top of all that, i'm soda-addicted... so pff.. you can imagine that!
I'm like 1,70 allmost and 95kg.. :-S

When I used to work it was really hard for me to find food to eat. It was cheaper to go to mcdonalds and get a $1 double cheese burger than it was to get a salad or to even buy a lunch at a grocery store and bring it to work. So what I would do is really try to fight that soda addiction first. Switch to diet or iced tea without sweetner. Then try to exercise. If money isn't an issue, then maybe you could try things like yogurt, salad, veggies, cheese, etc. [vera5d]

you should try eating less junk food and drinking less soda. exercise is good of course. you should try running, football. also try drinking water (it's the healthiest) and maybe try eating some sandwiches. you can make them at home with some bread, cheese, some meat...you know what you like best...it's healthier than all that junk food. you still can eat from those places you like a lot, but try reducing the quantity. hope you'll be lucky [mtgrlz_zerocool]
Kicking the soda habit is really important. I Had to stop drinking soda. When I did .. I cut 20 lbs. It was so good. On top of that, Just try to pack something to take with you to eat that is healthy.. like a salad.. or some crackers.. yogurt, cheese, pretzles,.. whole grain granola.. cereal.. juices and fruits or veggies. Those things will help you out. There are some really low fat salad dressings out there..AND there are alot of different things that you can do. [Twogen1987]

McDonald's here in the US has salad on their menu too. so you don't have to eat junk food,like the double cheese burgers. They have some really good one too. If they have them there in Romania that is what I would eat but go easy on the dressing because it is full of calories. You really need to work on the soda thing because it is full of sugar. Try drinking more water too going with out the soda at least part of the time. For my self I don't like KFC or pizzas so they aren't a problem for me. The same goes for Sodas. I do like to put some lemon juice in my ice cold water though to give it some flavor. I have read that that can help with the weight loss. [deebomb]
Don't eat it for a month or three, and you'll be nauseous every time you walk by a McDonald's or other fast food joint. I used to love me some Wendy's, but I stopped eating it when I stopped working. My parents still eat it and the smell makes mewant to gag. There's so much stuff out there that's good and even smells good! As for the sodas, I can't say much there. If you want to lose weight, maybe switch to a diet drink? I love my soda, so I know what you mean. [fluffnflowers]

Try making your own food. I'm sure the cooking (interest) part of Mylot has some great recipes. The food does taste really good, but think about the products that they use. It's not top grade meat and such. It's hard, but you have to push yourself into not eating that stuff. Once in a while it's alright to eat it. [Socialism]

I am crazy of KFC and pizza hut.But everytime i eat pizza i always said" Embrassed the fats..Hahaha...And i drink soda sometimes but i am trying not to drink to much. [chej18]

Oh dear! Glad I'm not really into fastfood but I do treat my son every now and then with those junk foods. But I remember managing our coffee shop & restaurant, I had all those food, tasty bread, pastries and desserts around. After a month or so, I just can't touch or eat them anymore. It's real easy for Me,there isn't one of the chain fast food places closer than 10 miles away! I like the fast food when I cant make a decision what to eat.However,seldom I go to McDonalds,KFC.Though it seems fat doesnt work on me,I wont go there offen. Its better to cook urself and take it to ur workplace. :) [xoxoneverland]

I know right? Everyone knows that fast food is bad and fatty but it's hard to avoid these. I try to eat at restaurants and at home most of the time. But there are times when I really crave something like fried chicken and I want the real thing so I just head over the KFC. [mimico]
There is still hope.. First of all, you can eat healthy more often, there are enough sandwich places out there. You may not know the best diet: eat less. So when you get fast food, eat less. Or take a salad with your burger rather than fries. After some time, your stomach adjusts to the new quantity and you don't feel so hungry after eating less. [ultipost]
Yes they are good. But to eat them every day is a waste of money and a waste of life. There are many many food out there that is far better than those junk food, in taste, in health, in price and all. instead of going out buying lunch, why not make lunch and take it with you....try salmon and cucumber on brown/wholegrain bread, or any other low cal filling, also take a tub of fruit, ready cut and packed, you are mean't to have 5 a day and you can get little lunch size tubs made ready, also take a bottle of water instead of fizzy drinks and a snack like a low cal choc bar...it works for me....it keeps the weight off, so all you have to do is stop eating the foods you mentioned in your topic...you'll feel much better....happy [tattylashes]
Well...I know how you can be healthier than you are by not eating these things. It was hard at first, until someone told me to spend ten minutes observing the way food is being prepared when you stop at one of these places. Watch what the workers do with thier hands. You will see enough things when steping back, that you will no longer want to eat there again. For instance. This woman at Burger king must weigh 300 pounds. She has slong hair and sweats constantly. She stands there packaging the food. She wipes her brow, then wipes her pits, then tamps the frys with her hands, then repeats the process. Imagine how they feel when you point out thier actions to them in front of the manger, as you have brought the preperation process to the forefront. I have seen a whole McDonals clear out and demand thier money back, when i showed 3 customers that the burger maker was picking his butt. That was an uproar! The truth is, only you can prepare your own food according to your own safety stadards, You don't want to know about the snot and spit in the pizza's. Ask yourself why the person handling money has gloves and wearing a net, yet the food handlers them selves do not. You will be discusted if you just hold off on ordering and observe first. Do you want hepatitus with that burger? Ask then that the cook just handle the raw meat before layering the lettuce and onions. Most are already with you on that one. [WebWizard]
One way out for this can be eating lots of green salads when you feel hungry. These would give you the contents which our body needs on a daily basis without adding fat to your body. Drinking a glass of water when hungry also helps in reducing the actual quantity you eat thereby restricting one's intake. [limcyjain]
That food is good and simple to eat at work time ,but it does add on the lbs and has for me by eating all the wrong types of food.The first thing you wanna try to do is drink diet pop. diet juice,and water that will help out a whole bunch .If you do get the take out go for subway and something that is grilled .I actually like the taste much better .It takes awhile for all that food and urges to get out of the system . Junk food is not good for you I have just started on the Atkins. Drinking soda is something I have in common with you. I drink a bottle of diet coke every day. At the moment I cannot exercise due to having a torn cartilage. [Mickie30]
Its not where you eat, Its what you eat. Most fast food Joints have salads now, and they will serve you a glass of water for free. You will save money and lose weight at the same time. Sure the stuff tastes good to you because your tastebuds are addicted. Lets face it here and Now- you have to make up your mind-you can't have it both ways! [barehugs]
