I hate pizzas that are thick and soft they taste like ordinary bread to me. I like pizza to be thin-crusted, crispy and with loads of toppings.
I once had this favorite pizza house that made the most delicious and most affordable pizza in town. I'd often go there because I found their pizza addicting. Lately however, in response to the deluge of customers they are having, they have changed their cooking technique in order to accommodate many pies in one cooking. I was dismayed to get a limp pizza. It was so lame I did not enjoy it because I was pizza that is crunchy.
To my dismay, I checked out another pizza house that offers the thinnest pizza in town. Indeed, the pizza was so thin, like a blade, that it felt like you're not eating one at all. Oh boy. Getting the perfect pizza is hard these days. I mean, each of us have our own preferences but I want mine to be crunchy and thin-crusted but not as thin as blade though.

I like a thick crust with lots of toppings. My favorite toppings are ham and pineapple. However, now that I am watching my weight, I seldom eat any pizza. If I do indulge, I tend to eat a bare pizza--one with cheese only. Even then, I don't eat the crust. I go for the thin crusty pizza. The Italian way. I'm glad that you like it too. That's a pity that your pizza house changed the style. Have spoken to them about it? Sometimes it helps to inform the producer to cater the needs of the consumer. May be they bring back your magic pizza, who knows? [foisgras]
I like my pizza crunchy! Thin crust, crunchy, loaded with ham or canadian bacon, gren peppers, onions and pineapple. That's Hawaiian pizza! I like to make my own, too, using those ingredients. For a low calorie pizza I'll use 50 calorie per slice bread rolled flat and baked in the oven with all those ingredients and a little mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top! [dragon54u]

I'm curious, VP, as I imagine by your name that you have a vegan diet. I've only once been able to have a vegan pizza, when I went to a music festival, www.beautifuldays.co.uk . It was delicious though, it had sesame seed paste instead of cheese with chillies and something else which I don't remember now. That was in August 1997! Maybe where you are it is a lot easier? At a time I liked thick crust pizza, especially when they have the garlic-crust pizza at dominos, but that was only for a limited time. But unfortunately, not all thick-crust pizza are good to eat, just like you said, they taste like ordinary bread with toppings lol Thin-crust pizza is always perfect, especially with lots of toppings [roysville]
I want thin crust pizza. I hate the thick crust, it is so oily and soft that you won't enjoy eating. I also want those with lots of toppings and lots of cheese. And this is the funny part, i enjoy eating the end part of the pizza, people usually don't eat that part because its crunchy but to me its what i want that sometimes i asked my friends to leave it to me. Hmm.. Pizza. Haven't had any in awhile. I like mine to be rather larger in the crust, not too soft, but not too hard either. There is a perfect medium between the two for me. It must be flavorful, not plain, usually a garlic crust or something of the such. Toppings wise.. I'm pretty basic on that. Peperoni, Sausage, Mushrooms. I can live with those toppings, though I like others as well. Thats about it really.. It's all in the taste for me, not the hard/softness. Or the amount of toppings. Just the taste, overall. Hello VeganPrince, Yes, I do agree with you in that thick pizza can taste like ordinary bread or dough. It can also be delicious- have you ever tried Papa Murphy's? They have the BEST entree- ask them for a dish with olives, peppers, meat, etc. and they will most likely recommend the one I'm talking about. They pre-make it, and you take it home. Then warm it up in your oven, and it'll quickly change your mind about "thick" pizzas. Though I do agree with you in that some pizza joints just don't know how to make thick pizza. On the other hand, some pizza joints just don't know how to make thin-crust, either. I tried Domino's thin-crust - WORST decision of my life. To put it lightly, I bet the box would have tasted better. Thin pizza isn't bad- maybe I've just had a bad experience with it kind of like you've had a bad experience with thick pizza... i like home made pizza...its better than those commercialized one. In the office the prize for having the best score in a customer satisfaction survey are boxes of pizza per team. Our team just have the best one we had free pizza. But yet even though the pizzas are for free nothing beats the home made pizzas. [pitstryke]

i like a thin crispy crust, extra cheese, not too much sauce and perhaps some mushrooms but that is it. plain is even better. occasionally i like some sausage on it too but not all the time. pizza, believe it or not is not one of my favorite foods. my son, on the other hand, loves it and would eat it for all three meals if i let him! The perfect pizza for me is from Pizza Hut. The crust is not so thick nor so thin. And the toppings are ooh so good. I love their pizza. Although I like Shakeys' as well. Hi veganprince, my favorite pizza is the one ham cheeze, porkmeet and sous on it. I have not eaten a pizza for a very long time, but will do on saterday. Pizza is food I only eat now or then if I have some money left in the end of the month. It changes everytime. Sometimes i like the soft thick crust. Sometimes i like the thin crunchy crust. Sometimes I like alot of cheese and something no cheese at all. THe only thing i know i like alot is marinara sauce added. YUM! [jessi0887]

I love the hot and steamy hand-tossed, lots of melted cheese with little sauce and to top it off "mushrooms"!! Hello, I like my pizza crust to be more of a thick crust but not too thick. I like it to be able to hold the toppings without bending so the pizza toppings slide off the crust. I am not one to load a pizza with more then 2 toppings. I like it with cheese of course and pepperoni, maybe once in awhile sliced fresh tomato. [ds6413]

I am a thin and crispy person myself if I am eating out. But I have lately been making our own. I purchase the roll out crusts from the refrigerator section and then add sauce and my own toppings. My family likes the meat pizza's so I add lots of beef, sausage, ham and cheese to the top of our homemade pizza. I also use a blend instead of just plain mozzarella. [carpenter5]

well, i like my pizza to be thick, and the toppings pressed down into it, and i also like it with lots of cheese , that`s why i sometimes order a cheese mix pizza,although i think that`s a local type we have here, but none the less, i sometimes make pizza myself at home, but that`s the day they declare the kitchen a disaster area, and i take the day off from work, yeah, cause it takes me about 3-6 hours to make pizza at home, i`ll tell you why? i do everything from scratch, i bake it from raw materials, and since i have a big family, i need to make a few extra ones for them, i start all the process from the ground up, no quick solutions here some would say, buy the instant pizza , and just do the toppings that`s not real pizza to me... and i tend to make like 3 - 4 types of toppings when i do, so sometimes, i end up making like 10 pans each time, so i have to take the day off but the reward at the end, when we sit down and eat the pizza, heavenly ....
