Seriously. This has got to be the most over-posted topic in myLot: "What's your favorite pizza topping" or the 300,000 variations of it. (I guess it's possible "what's your favorite ice cream" could have been done more often; but these are definitely the top two.) myLot should add "pizza" to the list of forbidden words here. Amazingly, people still flock to answer these discussions like it's fresh hot pizza or something.
Are you tired of "pizza" discussions? Should they be outlawed?

I don't think so... when I was still new... which I guess I'm still mylot young... it was a good question although I do feel ya on it... most of these questions are on here day in and day out... and now im going on like hour 13 of mylot and of course... well I've seen all the posts at least twice lol. I think all topics repeat a lot if you stay here long enough O_o its like the twilight zone or something blink [wickikitty]
*starts playing twilight zone music* [darkjedi]
Now isn't this the pot calling the kettle black? I seem to remember you doing a discussion about pizza just a couple of months ago. Making it seem all sexy, especially if you are like me and get e-mail notifications without the interest group it was posted in. Now you are saying all pizza discussions should be outlawed. Yeah, thought no one would remember yours now did you? [drknlvly6781]
Nice going drk I haven't seen that discussion, though I think it's funny that you nailed myk! lol And hmm, let's see, even for someone not seeing the discussion you said you wanted a piece of something and you started it under pizza. I think that's a little bit obvious. rolleyes [zhuuraan]
Along with pizza you could add coffee with all it's variants and 'what did you, will you or are you having for breakfast'. That just about sums 'em up. Does that mean food is the most talked about topic on here? [mysdianait]
Lol Yeah when I first started I posted a few in here, but then branched out. I dont think it should be outlawed but limited somehow. To many of them are put on here. [darkjedi]
Actually know it all..FACT..those type of discussions are safe..& if you pay very close attention you will find that a few top mylotters actually use simply yet thought provoking questions as discussions, but say it in a way that requires thought. Bear is one & Lord is another..See Loud is many a dippy but notices these things.. All hail the though provoking posters.. So jist wheest rasp [LoudnProud]
Yeh true but you have to remember they only delete what is reported, despite what others might think.. rasp [LoudnProud]
I've noticed that too. Well, I guess if you want to up your numbers its a safe topic unless you ask what kind of pizza your prefered politician eats and then its on! Try that one out and watch your inbox get flooded, come one, you love those type of topics Mike. [gitfiddleplayer]
NO! NO! NO! There are far more discussions about Pepsi or Coke? I'm always amazed at how many one liner or one word responses they get. There is usually good in all bad, you just have to look. The good thing about these topics is they keep the masses away from most of the topics I go to. happy [WhatsHerName]
Of course, a strong shade though! glare [WhatsHerName]
Well there can never be enough pizza discussions for me, since I love it. However it would be nice to see some more unique pizza discussions! No more "whats your favorite topping?" questions, lets get some new material for me to respond to. drool [rifat1337]
Hi myklj, this is one too many pizza discussions. LOL Sorry, I couldn't resist! I agree with you. It's been done to death. Enough, already. Actually, I haven't been seeing too many discussions that interest me lately. Of course, I have been internet-less for the past 13 days, but it seems like I'm picking up right where I left off. I'd like to find a really, really interesting discussion to get into. There have been a few, but they seem to be too few and too far between. Oh, well, now that I've answered your stupid pizza discussion, let me go look for something interesting. ;} [bbjwlsn]
this is funny. i'm a member of ANOTHER pay for post. this is their number #1 discussion, too. maybe we are all just hungry? i find it more interesting that i know someone who hates pizza and won't eat it. WHAAA????? [MOMMASAM]
thank you for the best response......and, if you look at the discussions, there are STILL more pizza discussions ! perhaps a world-wide discussion is easier? [MOMMASAM]
Thanks for adding the 300,001st pizza discussion Mike! [heatherfeather80]
I promise..He won't hear it from me..nope no words will leave my mouth..whistle [Rosekitty]
Hi myklj999, Frankly I hate pizza, yes I get that asked a lot of times, don't they get fedup with the same old things, they can't think of a new discussions so they keep asking the same questions, by the way what do you have for breakfast, thats another one. Tamara [tamarafireheart]
I have become deaf, and blind to these types of discussion.....unless...it's a friend posting it. Otherwise, no can lookee! yawnsleep [Irishfrndly65]
I love pizza and even if I respond to all of the discussions there, i will never get tired! whistle Honestly, this discussion is one of those that make that rating go up! [everlasting]
And then, wouldn't the next question be, "How many discussions asking 'how many pizza discussions is too many?' is also too many?" I've noticed that often times as soon as someone posts a question about pizza or some other food item, right behind it there will be a few discussions started asking about how many of those is too many. [kenzie45230]
Also...if the last pizza discussion was 2 weeks ago or 2 months ago, am I really expected to look through the archives to answer that? Or, since I've never responded to one, should I respond to the newest one? If one wants to post something here, the search thingey really isn't much help. You can do a search and find nothing at all, then once you've hit "post" you discover dozens of similar discussions. [kenzie45230]
I like pizza. I am new here and i have not seen a post about pizza yet, maybe it was already outlawed! But anyway! I do not really care! They are just trying to earn and people answer to them so they can earn as well! Especially since you have 4000 posts this must meant that you have seen many of these pizza posts! Lastly, once again i do not really care if they are banned or not! [tenkilagoon]
Well you like talking about SEX right?..whats the difference if I like my pizza with sex then? What if i started one about that? Would that fit into a sex or pizza interest?...rasp [Rosekitty]
Opalkitty wants some too!droolrasp [Opal26]
I knew this discussion wasn't about pizza but it is but it isn't but it is but it isn't! It's about sex! And it's about kittys! Opal's a kitty! Opalkitty! Meow!raspninja [Opal26]
Opalkitty....hehe. He always has some subliminal message behind his discussions and you figured it out cuz I would never have....lol [heatherfeather80]
Well I gotta admit there are tons of discussions on pizza here, perhaps if people typed it in first and did a search they would find this out before posting. By the way my favorite pizza is sausage, mushroom, ricotta cheese pizza, and my favorite ice cream is Black Raspberry. [irishmist]
Ooo! I gotta know -- where does one find THAT flavor? I LOVE raspberries! Is there a certain brand I should look for? Maggiepie (who now wants some iced cream!!!) [Maggiepie]
hi.. i dont think so. i like to respond to the pizza discussion without tire. i have just made the entry in mylot some two weeks ago. i think you might be seriously became restless with those pizza discussions as you were here for so so many days. cheers:) happy mylotting!blink [meenunapa]
I'm quite impressed with your discussion. Have you ever considered politics as a profession? I think you might make a better running mate than the one I chose. You've got a flair for clogging up the real issues with things that look like issues. I think that I'll incorporate this into my campaign speeches -- "Americans deserve the better pizza and I'm going to see that this happens. Americans for pizza change!"Thank you. You are an inspiration to all Americans. [JohnMcCain00]
I say that even one such discussion of any of those types is too many. It says right in the rules not to start topics such as, "what is your favorite color" etc. There are way too many of them out there and maybe if everyone teamed up and stopped answering them, these people would get the message. They are a pain in the btt to sift through to get to anything worth taking the time to read and respond too. [sid556]
i'm tired of alot of discussions on mylot. they are so silly & all they are doing is trying to earn some money which i understand. i'll tell you another one that drives me nuts [nuttier] is which came first chicken or the egg. who gives a hoot, how boring. i don't start a discuusion unless i think it's something someone will be interested in. i'm w/you. greetings from tennessee. [ANTIQUELADY]
where in the devil did you come from i don't remember calling your name but u must be guilty of silly discussions, always heard the guilty dog barks first. [ANTIQUELADY]
Hi myklj999! Uh ohh ! are you forming the 'pizza police'ninja. Nawwh I'm not bothered by the Pizza issue, just kinda resigned that it's a common thing, and if you wanna bump up the posts/responses its a safe bet. maybe the should be a 'most unusual use for' post!! [jimbomuso]
These favorite pizza topping discussions are numerous. Even though they'd all be very low-paid one-liners, I could probably get rich if I use variations of "My favorite is pizza with penincillin topping ... as long as it's aged to perfection." Perhaps we need a "what kinds of eggs do you like to eat?" My answer to that one would be "a nice, fresh pterodactyl egg, but the problem is, I have not found one in ages." Ice cream? Ice CREEEAAAAAMMMMMIIIIINNNNGGG for vengence. Oopsie - did I just start a song annoyingly playing in your head? rasplol [KrazyKlingon]
I've been wanting the Hellion, or I'd settle for the Metallion, (the metallic animals pictured on the albums, Screaming For Vengence & Defenders Of The Faith albums respectively) as a desktop picture. [KrazyKlingon]
i think it's many and i think we can't think is that correct,it's not easy to say how many discussions are enough and how many are not,so u better put on discussions until v respond okay, have a fine discussion bye.i too like pizza very much but i ate only chicken pizza ,i did not eat anything than that bye [sharandada_v]
Maybe I am not spending enough time in here, I have not see one single pizza discussion that I can remember right now. [ShellyB]
Absolutely. Extremely tired of the pizza topics. Quite nauseating, perhaps? [nickventere]
I keep hearing people either defend about the pita pizza on the new kids menu. I dont think my would have any interest in a pizza made from pita any way, talk about dry and flat [johnsujan]
Hi, I've actually started a pizza discussion ONLY because I had created a pizza that I thought was original and never done, and wanted to see who else would try it. It was Alfredo tortellini pizza, very good in my opinion. [candymarie]
I think you are overreacting. For one thing I ahve not seen very many of these and for another thing people are almost always interested in pizza and ice cream. Lots of people like them. However, it is against the terms to post a ton of topics about the same thing and with respect to that I think those discussions should be deleted, but honestly, outlawing the word pizza? That's just stupid. What if someone started a discussion about how you and your kids like to celebrate their birthday and you say they love pizza and having water balloon fights? Are you saying mylot shouldn't allow answers like that just cuz they mention pizza and people start too many discussions about it? MyLot will not outlaw something as silly as pizza and if they do they are idiots. Can you imagine if the entirely world, every country, state, province, whatever, forbid the word pizza from being spoken or the food from being served? Man that's just blowing it all out of proportion to say it should be outlawed. Sounds like its a crime. And yes, I know I'm blowing it out of proportion too, but to make a point. You're just taking it too extreme! [zhuuraan]
i think the pizza toppings and gay marriage are the most popular discussions here...i dont know how many of the latter i answered...for the pizza ones i did once i guess and that was it LOL i dont tend to get too much opinionated on pizza, while i do about glbt rights :P [JoMarch]
Hi. I'm with your the "subject" and I use the term lightly; has been done to death. It wasn't that interesting to me in the first place. (smile). I don't know about be outlawed, because you can refuse to answer. It peak someone's interest or their wouldn't be so many "inquiries." [ReoTwo]
it's seems that pizza is a good subject for discussions [zykon84]
It is easy for a teen-aged boy, living deep in the jungles of Zaire to give a truthful response to the type of topping he likes on his "pizza delivery boy" flavored pizza, then it is for him to know what the hell the right response is for for a discussion like, "Just go ahead and delete me from your friends list, my brain is broken". Giggitty...lol [mrghill]
There's never enough pizza. It's the miracle food; slap whatever on it, eat it and you've got a full belly. Yum, Yum. [tess1960]
AMEN!!! I said the same thing without even knowing you did!! LOL [jerzgirl]
Well, heavens, Mykl - just like there is never such a thing as too much pizza, I can't imagine there being too many pizza discussions!! lol Seriously, though, when people start on here, they are just trying to think of something to start a discussion with. And, some days, you can't find a discussion you want to respond to. So, one helps out the other. Plus, I've seen people say to use the tag words to find previous discussions, but I have yet to find a discussion with a tag word that is less than a year old. So, if I can't find it, how will they? As long as there aren't two or three in a day, I'm good. And, as long as we have well over 140,000 members, I don't think it's a major issue. [jerzgirl]
"Outlaw?" Why should you have the right to prevent another MyLotter from talking about a subject YOU don't feel interested in? I mean, I like pizza, maybe too much, even, but I don't like TALKING about it -- to me, that's dull. But I don't care if someone ELSE wants to. It doesn't hurt ME if they want to! What's wrong with just IGNORING topics you're not interested in? Why the need to CONTROL others?? Maggiepie [Maggiepie]
No. You are being a troll right now. All my friends here know that discussion for what it is. No one else has been offended by it. Sorry you've got your panties in a bind, but it will be your problem, not mine. I can be a troll. Don't push me. [myklj999]
I think that if people are interested in pizzas they should feel free to talk about them. Isn't that what mylot's about? I make my own pizzas because I can only eat fresh organic food for health reasons. They're delicious and I'm glad you posted this because it's made me realise that I haven't made one for some time and I'd really like one! I might make one! Thanks! Bravo to the Italians for all the great food they've given the world! [aslanlight]
The funny thing is, when I was making pizza/DiGiorno last night, mylot actually entered my head like a title "what's the yummiest topping on pizza?" - but fortunately I came to my senses right away.. - I've had "favorite color" come to mind before too, as a topic, but squelched that one too (no matter how blue the sky was).. But I have to admit, once in awhile they're very tempting!lol [flowerchilde]
LOL there are never enough pizza discussions in here or any other forum heheheh or ice cream, soft drinks, toilet paper etc. etc. etc. I guess they keep coming for a variety of reasons. SOmetimes because nothing else comes to mind to start a discussion, sometimes because they're actually something people look for and answer - not too complicated, no reason to think much =easy - and sometimes because it actually is important for the poster to know I guess :) I'm not necessarily tired, because I don't have to answer them if I don't want to. Actually I don't even have to read them which is even better LOL [arkaf61]
Now that I've already earned a ton of responses in a pizza thread I did months ago, you can ban it all you want. Other than this thread, I don't bother answering pizza threads. Nor do I answer other discussions similar to the kind I know you're describing. They just don't bring in the money or more importantly to me, the interesting responses. [CanadaGal]
LOL. Anything more than one pizza discussion is one too many. By the way, my favorite topping(s) are pepperoni and green pepper. [awonderfullife]
But you started one and many people answered it so maybe we all like pizza! [AbbeyB]
Oh What I must be missing something coz i haven't come across one pizza topping discussion yet confused I guess I just don't get around enough rasp [msmell]
