My husband and I ordered a pizza online and after 30 minutes of waiting, we finally got it. I was excited and starving so, I got one slice and start biting it. When he saw it, he was disappointed since there was barely no meat on it, just a lot of cheese.. We used to order in the past and it always satisfy us..
He grab his phone and complain about it..It was our first time though to experienced such...After another 30 minutes, we got another pizza which is the real one really! LOL!We end up having 2 large pizza..

I have ordered online before, and had problems, but I have also had problems over the phone and in person. I think that perhaps the problems were less related to how you ordered to what was going on in the business at the time. It sounds like a defective pizza. I think you were right to complain, just like you would complain if anything else that you paid for was not right. It is certainly your money. [shlooper]
If I was alone, I will not do it since I am starving..LOL! but, my husband really was not satisfied and I was thinking also it's good to give them feedback that customer isn't satisfied, having another one delivered was a surprised and we didn't expect it! [checapricorn]
I have never had a problem with ordering a pizza online before. I have only done it a few times before. I remember once a bunch of my friends and I ordered a few pizza's and there was a hair on one of the pizza's. We called and complained and when they came back with the fresh pizza they took the old one with them. [lilybug]

Hi checapricorn, I have not ordered anything through online so far and infuture also I will not order anything online. this is because of one reason only i.e when everything is available openly why should we prefer something online. If you visit a restaurant you could have preffered much better than what you received and incase if you find that is not the one you ordered, you always have chance to return the same there itself. Hi season, We are quite far from the place and every weekend when we will decide not to go out and just enjoy movies in the house, we prefer ordering online, the choices online are also very clear and detailed and we are a regular caller also and in the past, we're always satisfied of our order..it was just that time, that we got a bad timing! as i was reading you discussion it reminds of a time where my wife (she was just my gf back then) was really pissed when our pizza was late. the funny thing is, we went out and dined in a newly opened pizza house where they serve arabian foods. she wanted to try the pizza serve on top of a fita bread. we went in the resto where there was no costumers yet and while we are waiting for our food to be serve came floods of people who maybe wanted to try the food too. to cut the story shor they finished eating while we are still waiting for our order. now she was really mad and went complaining that we are their first costumers why are we the last to be served. it is not a story for an online order but i shared it with you as well. The area in which i'm located doesn't allow us to order online or any sort of delivery, we have to go fetch it ourselves! *sigh*. Hi dear hmmm soo u had 2 pizza at price of one, one full pizza and other cheese pizza as complimentary, Sound good. well i dont order things online, however ionce wee few colleagues were out at lunch, and unfortunaely service of hotel was poor that day and buffet was not kept clean, we complained and manager says sorry and gives us 20% discount at final billwink [cupid74]

I usually do all my pizza ordering online. So far I have not had any problems with the pizza being bad or a long delivery wait. I order from Papa Johns and they have provided excellent service each time and have always gotten to my house at a reasonable time, other than weather. Their pizza is always good and fresh. I had a problem one time with another pizza place as it took them three hours to get to my house with the pizza. Never ordered from them again. They said the driver got lost and I was only about 5-10 minutes away. [kgwat70]

I have never ordered food online yet, it is not something we need to do as we only live down the road from our takeaways so we could quite easily walk to them. Saying that though we do not walk to them, we pick up the phone and order that way! We have never had a rubbish pizza delivered, the places around where we live absolutely cram the toppings on their pizzas they are really nice. [gemini_rose]

I have never ordered food online to be delivered but recently my daughter and her boyfriend phone to say the takeout was ready and when we got home half of it was missing and then had to drive back down and I complained because of the petrol costs and the fact that the other half of meal would have been cold by the time we got back to the house so they gave us a voucher for another meal. We have pizzahut and Macdonalds in India. They give very good service generally and make excellent pizzas. But I haven't had an opportunity to order a home delivery till now. Somehow, we prefer to go to the outlet and eat there, because that's an outing for us! You see, pizza joints are a recent phenomenon in many cities in my country and we have yet to get used to them. We've NEVER had any reason to complain about their quality, though. [indianpedi]

On saturdays, it is fast food for us and at night pizza it is! we ordered by phone and chose between 3 stores, yellow cab, pizza hut and a local one I can't recall the name. I have not experienced your complaint and was laways satisfied with their delivery. [everlasting]

We have only ever ordered online once as we usually do it by phone. But we had no problem with the order at all and would be happy to use them again. One time we ordered by phone from a local pizza place and they ended up sending the wrong order but were very quick to replace it with the right order. I have not ordered a pizza online but at least you know that it works. They did deliver, now the only problem is that the first one was not right. That would mean that they must have been really busy with orders and the person making them was rushing. But the did do good by the customer and sent out another pizza that was correct. The second one you didn't have to pay for. The only problem was the wait for the second one to come. The only thing might be cool, but call in after ordering to make sure that they get the order right the first time. Have a good one. [twallace]

pizza is my favorite food. even if they make the pizza poorly, i would still eat it. mmmm but i have a habit where i avoid too much grease, so what i do is i fold my slice and let it drip onto my plate. hahaha this conversation is making me hungry!but if the pizza is way too greasy then i'd be dissapointed but i wouldn't complain. We have done this multiple times. Only once did we ever have to complain and that was because it was very late and very cold. the place brought us new pizzas and threw in soda for the trouble. I guess maybe they had a new driver or something that got lost and that caused the delay. At least they made good on it. We usually just call for the pizza but if you do it online you can find some different specials or coupons. [mscott]

I've never ordered pizza online. I ordered some by phone last night, and it took me like two hours to get it, though. I was really irritated. THey said it would be 45 minutes, and I believed them, because we ordered early, and the pizza place is just a few blocks away. Great job on your free pizza! [karathrace]

The only problem I ever had by ordering online is that it seemed to take longer to be delivered. All the food places seem to be skimping on food these days though. I wonder if that is the problem. At least they replaced it though, even though you had to wait again to get it. [moneyandgc]

hey checapricorn, I'm really glad that your husband thought to complain, and it sounds like you were really hungry, and that means someone else got the wrong pizza, I guess in a place like that it would be so very easy to mis mark a pizza....and I can understand them letting you keep the pizza because you had already taken a bite out of it, and if they took it back they would have just thrown it away. I don't think it had anything to do with you ordering it online. You jsut got a pizza that someone was really cheap on making it. When you complained they made you another one and made sure it had lots of stuff on it. You probably would have gotten the same first pizza whether your ordered it online or by phone. I rarely order pizza in so I don't know if most companies are cheap always now on the meat or if they just made you a really cheap one. But it was good of the restaurant to send you another one at no charge. It shows they care about their customers and that is rare these days. It's usually all about the almightly dollar. [chrislotz]

I've ordered from a few different places online before - Papa Johns, Dominos, and Pizza Hut. Papa Johns was a one time thing because they were expensive. The next time we tried to order, they wanted to add on fee because we were paying by check. We said forget it. Dominos has been my worst experience. After I made my order, I waited and waited. An hour later and still no pizza. I finally called to ask about it and I was told that my order had been canceled. I asked her why and she couldn't tell me, just that it had been canceled. I told her it wasn't me so someone there had to do it. She was still clueless. When I hung up I decided to call back and ask to speak to the manager. She said she was the manager. She certainly wasn't acting like it. She was eager to get me off the phone. Didn't even bother to fix the problem. So I told her I would never order from them again and then I sent an email to Dominos about the problem. We live in another city now but haven't tried this Dominos yet. It eventually worked out because after I hung up with Dominos, I got back online and ordered from Pizza Hut. They called a few minutes later to comfirm my order and less than half an hour I finally had my pizza. We've used them again and haven't had any problems. I hate having a pizza delivered that was made by a trainee. The worst thing about it is you are starving to death and they don't make the one thing that they mainly advertise right. I've complained in the past, but where I live the language can go from "I understand English until I get paid" to "what, no speak English?" [mrghill]

We ordered pizza the other night, and the lady on the phone told us it would be $22.40 - which was fine, that's what it should have been. When it arrived, the lad told us it was $24.99 - and showed us the docket. There was no reason for the extra charges, but we paid it anyway rather than argue while the pizzas went cold - only to find they hadn't put anchovies on one of them, and hadn't made a half'n'half of the other! hey checapricorn, even we order pizza but had never faced this problem. I have something to share- When i was in collage. Our group on sitting in the canteen one of my friend ordered sandwich, after having one bit he said "its not fresh" then my other friend tasted it, she also confirmed it but was confused. then my third friend tasted and said "dont eat give it back to him" we notcied that more than half sandwich is eaten up. So we decided to take the sandwich and asked him to taste.. he said "its good". we all got angry and forced him to eat the whole sandwich.. lol We didnt got another sandwich but felt better. lol, [yogeshdhusa]

Only rarely do I ever order food online Che,the food always seems to go a little cold and then I need to warm it up in the microwave,thenit seems to lose its taste,so for me its a vicious circle,but I know a lot of people that do order food regularly and they are more than satisfied with it.The only thing with a pizza is that if you ordered it and it was delivered then if it was a little bit cold and you popped it in the micro to warm up then it would go a bit soggy.But im not really a complainer as such,I would have just put it down to experience.
