I make no comment yet save that I'd be interested to know what you think about the contents of this simple video of a man ordering pizza. www.aclu.org/pizza/images/screen.swf

That will be a reality here in America if people don't take action quickly! Many of us have awakened to our government takeover but most of those think their representatives will prevent such a scenario. They need to realize that we've been sold down the river for power and money and that we need a very serious revolution right now before it's too late. Aside from the serious implications, the clip is rather funny. lol [dragon54u]
Yes, I was stupid and blind up until a few years ago myself. Had my head in the sand. The sad reality of it is, every Political Party that is in power, must be corrupted to have gotten there and stay there. It seems that the only uncorrupted ones are the ones that can't seem to get into power. My guess, is because they won't take contributions from Organized Crime. I think we are all in an era just like Alcohol Prohibition was. Where the gangs and Organized Crime is the real power. They keep the current parties in power, with their ill gained huge money contributions, to make sure that drugs stay illegal, so they can continue to profit from it. Make them legal and their house of cards falls into oblivion, just like it did when Alcohol was finally legalized. [AnnieOakley1]
This one's been going around for a while, but it would be scary if were even partway true. The bit about knowing the man's health information, yikes.... [dawnald]
That's real useful. For the government.... I work for a health insurer though and there are real specific laws about disclosure of private health information. A pizza place could never possibly get hold of something like that, but the government could, of course. [dawnald]
Hi p1key, This is very scary, its Big Brother Watching and listening to you, its a good thing I don't like pizza or order any take-outs, but you with all this, why can't they find crimnals quickly? but they are too ready to snoop in everybody's business. I going to hide, lol! Tamara [tamarafireheart]
But hide where Tamara. They can find us everywhere. Good job that I like pizza but we'll have to find you something else! XXXX [p1kef1sh]
It's only a matter of time, unfortunately. Every so often I get advertising in the mail that uses my married name from my first husband. We've been divorced since 1980. Just goes to show that information never goes away, it justs collects (like dust) in the far reaching corners of the cyber universe. [catdla1]
There's actually a software called 'Lexus Nexus' that stores this type of information about individuals. It's used by many banks and collection companies. There's an embarassing amount of information on each person in their system. [catdla1]
Wow.confused I mean, WOW.blink I gotta send this to some people. Wow.shocked [The_Lamb_Lies_Down]
A glimpse of the future.....and it's not a good image. [p1kef1sh]
That's why I make my own pizza. whistle [sconibear]
Just don't buy the ingredients from a supermarket. "Pepperoni? I see you purchased that just the other day from our downtown store sir. There's an addition $10 charge for double fatty goods in the same month........" [p1kef1sh]
It is so scary. I can not imagine living a life like this. It can happen if we have chip and national ID. Hope they are going to quit and forget about national ID. [polachicago]
That's what we're hoping for here too. But I'm not holding my breath. [p1kef1sh]
Wow!wow!wow!..I do hope that it never comes down to that.. Lord that is some pricey pizza there...but I am glad that they don't have to have all your info like that.. [mtdewgurl74]
Yep, it does, next thing you know we will have a chip inserted somewhere beneath the skin and the doors will have scanners and the security of each place will know our rap sheets instantly...or all our other info..where we live and all..would bring crime down alot.. [mtdewgurl74]
That's just terrible. And without even looking, in an email, there was this blurb with a link to do the very same search. So I guess it isn't so uncommon. HOLY CRAP! "Private Information Now Available Not too long ago, only the police department and the government could access private information. Now the law has changed and you too can investigate others, including employees, delivery people, vendors coming to your home, possible dates, new neighbors, and even long-time acquaintances. With our legal & easy-to-use database, you can research information about almost everyone in the United States, Canada and Western Europe. You can now discover important, needed details about others, including arrests, bankruptcies, past marriages or divorces... Please click the link below to begin your search": http://www.arcamax.com/ard/6368035?t=C64480433S2235L1 [AnnieOakley1]
Very frightening I think. It's amazing what's out there. I just googled your name - nuff said! [p1kef1sh]
I couldn't get the video to load. I will keep trying to see if it will load for me. Is this funny or is this a new way of ordering some pizza? Thanks for sharing wiht us. [stephcjh]
It is still working, at least for me Steph. It's a video in which the pizza clerk knows EVERYTHING about the customer from central databases. It's quite a scary concept. [p1kef1sh]
Looks like an MP's expenses account! [Hair_of_the_Dog]
No. Far too small. There's no duck house or moat cleaning either. Got to have those if you're a proper MP. [p1kef1sh]
Thats just plain paranoia. My pizza place already has about as much of that information as it needs in it's computer. When I call them up, I tell them my phone number, and they have my address and everything all ready. If any pizza company had that kind of information on someone, why on earth would they get pizza from there? It would be a huge burden to their business. That video is more of a joke then anything else, ad I wasn't laughing. [Christoph56]
The point though Christoph is that the free availability of information is/could be so rife that anybody could access it and they could also be "persuaded" by governments to use it to alter personal habits and preferences. You think that businesses don't already carry out governmental functions. Tax collection is just the beginning. Yes, it is paranoia, but then once upon a time my garbage bin didn't carry a chip in it that told the city authorities what I am recycling and what I am not! [p1kef1sh]
It's one of the things I worry about. That sort of info is all out there and I reckon it would be easy to collect it so it was all in one place. It's one of the things I worry about with Facebook. As well, we've lived as a free society for so long and we are getting it all wrong. How long before this sort of thing becomes a reality for our own good? [MsTickle]
Maybe 1984 was correct but they didn't tell us. Do you think they would tell us that kind of stuff? [MsTickle]
Unfortunately P1key I can see it happening in the future! George Orwell foresaw it in his book entitled 1984 which was published way back in 1949! Big Brother is Definitely watching and watching more and more every day it seems...scary isn't it?? shocked XXXX [greeneyedlady]
Whats even more worrying to me P1key is that I Agree with YOU and having me agree with you is a very frightening thought!! In all seriousness though, I also believe it is happening now, not as bad as this...Yet! But I can see it happening in the future and I don't think that I am being overly paranoid! Big companies are now able to get their hands on even the most sensitive information about us and I can actually see it getting as bad as this video shows. After all, some countries are even trying to get it to where they can charge more for obese people to eat in fast food restaurants etc. and pretty soon the insurance companies are gong to latch on to the idea that If the person does not take reasonable care of themselves then they, the insurance companies, will try to find a way around paying the medical bills that the people rack up and with the information that is available now days to almost everyone this video is not all that far fetched! [greeneyedlady]
