There's a big debate going on between us circle of friends. Its about the pizza crust. Which is better, Shakey's thin crust or Pizza Hut's Pan pizza? Or in general, what kind of crust do you prefer for a pizza?
In my opinion, and as to many people that I know as well. We prefer Shakey's thin crust pizza, especially "Manager's Choice" and "Pepperoni" than the pan pizza of "Pizza Hut". For me, pan pizza taste like an ordinary bread topped with sardines in tomato sauce. While for the thin crust, its like eating a crispy bread with oozing mozarella cheese and tasty toppings. Yummy.

I don't like thin crust pizza i prefer it regular. Thick crust pizza at pizza hut isn't my fav but some pizza places really do do it right. Has to be thin crust all the way! I used to like thick crust, but it's only for the cheese pizza to be honest. Anything else need the thin crust ... for a better taste! :) You are making me hungry! [cooler1968]

I'm not fond of thin crust, so I always go for thicker crust. In my experience, thick crust just seems to hold better and it's not as messy. Plus, I really don't like for my pizza to come with a crunch. It's been years since I've tried thin crust, unless it was a cheap pizza you just throw in the oven. Even then I try to grab the thick crust. [Reesers]

Well a lot of it would depend on how hungrty I was , if I wasn't very hungry then I would go for a thin and a thick if i was very hungry [Anne18]

homemade=thick, storebought=thin. theres nothing more disgusting than a soggy thin crusted pizza made at home, thick crust neutralizes all this. crust on storebought pizza sorta diverts the great taste of pizza so i like thin crust. [doggsaredead]

I like thin crust pizza better unless the pan pizza is the one with fillings in the crust. I always assume that thick pizzas are more oily and i get tired of chewing on the tasteless crust. With Thin crust pizzas is just like eating crackers and there is no oil oozing out of the crust. [silverglint]

Well, I doubt if u have a Beggar's out where ur at, but in my opinion, Beggar's deep dish is the best pizza going for the money. Of course there's better pizza out here in Chicago, but for the price Beggar's is hands down the best! Pizza Hut is ok, as well as Domino's, but nothing on my boy's! I like thin crust if it's store bought, it's better tasting than store bought deep dish and thick crust, and it's done faster without burning. I think I prefer the pan pizza better. Although pizza huts pan pizza isn't nearly as good as it used to be. Thin crust is pretty good too. I like pizza all around so I guess it really doesn't matter what kind of crust it is on. [ravinskye]
Personally I am not a big bread person at all thus I prefer thinner crust pizzas. No deep dish at all for me. Too much bread and crust and not enough of the good stuff. [mullthisova]
If I want to really taste the toppings good I like the think crust. As a family we started getting the pan pizza because it was more filling so we got more for the money and didn't end our meal still feeling a bit hungry. It just went farther to have the pan pizza. I love the pan taco pizza, but in general I don't like Pizza Hut pizza at all anymore. Their sauce changed again and I don't like the flavor. [capirani]
I like thick crust. I also prefer stuffed crust when it comes to Pizza Hut. But i enjoy most woodfire Pizza. It may cost more but it tastes so nice. Thick pizza allows you eat more. To me, i like eating alot and thin pizza isnt enough. I could probably eat 2 boxes of thin pizza as opposed to 1 and a half boxes of thick pizza. I am not overweight though, if thats what your thinking. People say im not big enough but i have a high metabilism so who cares. Eating more is better =] [itrungs]

mmm I have not seen or eaten a shakey's pizza since I was a little girl living in Wisconsin. I do remember that I loved eating there, but was it the pizza or the old fashioned cartoons and popcorn that thrilled me so much? I like pizza hut pan pizza if I take it home let it chill and then reheat it in the oven - that reheating it makes it so nice and crispy - like a thomas' english muffin. [Modestah]

unlike you i like thick crust pizza.and its because topping is a thing which i also present in many other dishes in many other forms like chicken,meat,olivees,tomatoes etc.so i think the most important part of pizza is its base or crust.which makes it different from other dishes and gave it a different name.and not to mention about mozareela cheese it does not matter whether the crust is thick or thin cheese is supposed to be placed over topping so its amount is not supposed to vary with the crusr density. I much prefer thick crust pizzas, I think an essential part of pizza is the crust, and I think my pizzas to have thick and chewy crusts, and I especially like those with stuffings in it, like cheese or even sausage! [timou87]
I don't normally eat pizza and have no idea what "Shaky's" is. Of course I know Pizza Hut, however, I have no idea about the types of pizza they offer. I do prefer their thin crust pizza's, though. Their thick crusts fill me up so quickly that I can't even enjoy the food! lol [Zezlol]

Personally, I like thin crust better. I don't dislike the thicker crust or pan pizza, but just like the taste of the pizza with the thinner crust. I like a thicker crust but not as thick as say deep dish pizza. I find deep dish pizzas tend to be very doughy and I don't like that. I do really really like the stuffed crust pizzas and the "cheese bread sticks" you can order from different places dipped in marinara sauce. [saundyl]

My favorite pizza crust is Pizza Hut's stuffed crust pizza, with the cheese in the crust. I don't have it often, but I could eat it more than I do. I would rather have a thicker, pan crust, but as a diabetic, I am supposed to eat thin crust. I don't think they have Shakey's pizza in my area anymore, but I think they did at one time. [idowrite72]
